Biogeochemical
Relating to the cycle in which chemical elements and simple substances are transferred between living systems and the environment.
In the Great Barrier Reef, the carbon cycle works by the water taking in dissolved carbon from human actions and turning it into calcium carbonate for making coral hard skeletons.
Also the water cycle plays a very important role as the aquatic animals need many different nutrients that the obtain from the water cycle. What hurts these animals and corals is chemicals from onshore agricultural farm run-offs. This then pollutes the water in the Great Barrier Reef.
