The Great Barrier reef is the biggest of it's kind around all the world. It is over 161 miles away from the coast of Australia. The Reef is over 1,200 miles long. It is the home of over thousands of marine plants and animals. Humans also rely on the reef to make a living. Small and large fishing industries rely on the reef to make a living.
